About Rachel

“I have always been drawn to the challenges, rewards, and the process of physical fitness. When I was younger I played club soccer and ran cross country. After college I experienced a void of the growth and community that I loved and flourished in from the sports I had grown up with.

In 2011 I stumbled into a power yoga class at Golds Gym in Dallas, TX. From that moment on I had found a new love, challenge, and community. I quickly became addicted to the practice; the connections I could feel linking my breath and my body, as well as the strength and flexibility I could feel increasing from my shoulders down to my toes.

I received my 200 hr. certification from Angela Wagner at YogaSport, a Baptiste Yoga Affiliate. I was married shortly after and moved to the Fort Worth area with my husband.

Stacy Dockins, owner of The Yoga Project, gave me a yoga home where I not only practiced as many times a week as possible, but also had my first opportunity to teach yoga.

Through the Baptiste training I received, and through Stacy’s Live Love Teach coaching, I have developed my own style of teaching and desire to help my students find a connection between breath, body, mind, and movement. From these connections transformation and clarity can happen. Most recently I had the opportunity to teach yoga at Red Dawg Hot Yoga with Jamie Barnard.

I firmly believe that yoga can be a part of anybody’s lifestyle, and can powerfully transform in more ways than you can ever imagine!”

Off the Mat

I am mama to two sweet babies, Samuel and Joanna, and two sweet babies in heaven. I love running, reading, good queso and going to see live music with my husband, Robbie. We have two dogs, Huckleberry, a pup I found running, and June Bug, our German shorthair. I love the New Braunfels and San Marcos community! I live here, go to church here, and also work as a speech language pathologist in our community. I look forward to seeing you on the mat and around our incredible city.
