About Jessie

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to learn new things and help people. It makes sense that I was drawn to teaching yoga. To me, it’s not just about working out; it’s about investing in people and helping see them through their journey to wholeness.

While I started my yoga journey taking mostly powerful flow classes, my body has gone through its fair share of ups and downs—and so has my mental and emotional state. It’s taken me years to learn that my practice isn’t defined by one great day or a specific class—it’s defined by how I feel when I step off the mat.

Yoga has become an ever-evolving practice in my life. Some days, I wake up ready take on any and every challenge, and other days my body craves slower, restorative movement.

That’s why I strive to create a balance of yin and yang in all of my classes. Blending vinyasa and intensity with grounding and rejuvenation allows me to connect with students exactly as they are, while giving them a chance to check in and choose for themselves. I truly believe that balance is the key to wholeness.

No matter the style or pace of the class, I always bring the JAMS to support the energy of the practice! My hope is to create a space for students to show up authentically, to find the practice that suits and soothes them, and to have some fun with it!

I received my 200hr RYT certification at BIG Power Yoga in 2020 and have taught for The Village since November 2020. I also completed a Slow Flow teacher training in 2021 with Hailley Rose, where I learned more about Yin yoga and how to blend the benefits of a powerful flow into a more accessible, well-rounded practice.

I love being curious in my personal practice and in teaching and am committed to continue learning so I can bring new perspective to my students.”

Off the Mat

You can find me with my favorite adventure crew: my husband (and fellow yogi) Marc, and our Goldendoodles Jade and Archie.

We love hiking Panther Canyon, people watching at Landa Park, visiting local restaurants and breweries, and exploring all our beautiful city has to offer.

Some fun facts about me:

  1. I grew up in New Braunfels! Yes, I am a Unicorn and proud of it.

  2. I work full time as a technical project manager helping build websites and support digital marketing efforts for several leading brands and nonprofits.

  3. I’m pretty good at Name That Tune.

  4. I love art and being creative in new and different ways! My latest favorites include puzzles, coloring books, and alcohol inks.

  5. Growing up, I wanted to be an archaeologist and would beg to go to the rock store.
